Gore Weighs In

The Assault on Reason Al Gore was interviewed on National Public Radio about his book, The Assault on Reason, but he also spoke about the Democratic presidential race. Here are some key excerpts:

"Even though it has gone on much longer than is normal in the age of primaries and caucuses, nevertheless I think the odds are overwhelming that it will tip rather decisively in one way or the other before the convention even meets."

As almost any thinking Democrat would agree, I consider Al Gore to be my current President, albeit in virtual exile. Bush, the worst President in our history was appointed by the Supreme Court. This is not just a political footnote - it is a decision that set our country back in incalculable ways. Al Gore has maintained himself not only as a revered spokesperson for our environment, but is respected throughout the world, the Democratic party itself, and even amongst many Republicans.

Obama ought to approach Al Gore to save party and country. Obama should hold on to his delegates and team up with Al Gore(as head of the ticket) to unite the party and win the election. Rev. Wright has hurt Obama's campaign and it looks as if neither him nor Hillary can get the nomination. If Hillary lands the nomination, she is a sure loser to McCain, she has generated too much negativity and many of Obama's suporters will stay home. Hopefully this can be dealt before the convention.
Gore-Obama 08, a sure thing.

For the good of the Democratic party, please draft Al Gore to run for president. The party had an opportunity a year ago that is diminishing. Mr. Gore should save the party and have Barack Obama serve as his running mate.

Now I live in the uk and have just watched the film on sky , what a suprise after hearing
all the jokes about al via the press ect , having just watched the film what a well educated man and how simply he made his points more power to you al

If I were to meet Vice President Gore face to face I would tell him that it is time for America to have a Great President. I would tell him that it is time for a President who is not afraid to launch America's most powerful weapon. The weapon which truly holds the world in shock and awe. As President the launch codes would be in his hand. It is time to launch "American Ingenunity" It is time for the American President to announce that America is ending is use of fossil fuel. That in the eight years of his Presidency, America will switch to Hydrogen Power.

Dear Vice President Gore:

From the film "Inconvenient Truth", I understood the urgency of the global warming issue, the earth situation is deteriorating sharply than that time you produced the film. Actually this movie is still difficult to understand to general people that not gotten a scientific training, they maybe got an idea that the global warming is an issue but not so urgent, it perhaps is an issue after fifty years.
