Jumping Ship to Support Gore !

Mr. Gore,
After being a republican all my life, it is time for a change. We need you to turn this country around and repair the disaster runaway train that we find ourselves in today. Your production of "An Inconvenient Truth" is the most profound and compelling story of our time. You are by far the only candidate that this country needs in our troubled times. I hope that you will take your place in history and help save the future of our country and our planet. The time for change is now and I am sure you would find more citizens backing you now than in 2000. I am one! You won before, you can win by a landslide now!

Message to Mr. Gore

Good Day,
I'm with you! How can we (Mr & Mrs John Q Public), get Mr. Gore to get over his bad self and run for president? I'm totally with him on the environment issues, however, right now our country is in desperate need of him. For heaven sakes, doesn't he know with either Obama or McCain, the US is going to suffer even more?
If you have any suggestions how to get a message to Al, let me know.

Democrat no longer…

Having been a Democrat these past 23 years I've been able to vote, I can no longer say that I am comfortable remaining so.

Both parties have become corrupted by big business interest, it is no longer a question of being "Of the people, By the people, For the people…" Now its all about which mega corporation will give me the most money for a piece of my soul.

We need you now more then ever before Mr. Gore. Critics be damned. Any person with a wit of common sense knows without any help from the biased media that our climate is in peril. The first domino has already been knocked over and they are falling faster each day.

We should have started 20 years ago working to fix the environmental problems, but even starting today will help stave off some of the bad effects. I fear that we have not yet seen the worst, and will start seeing worse within the next year or so.

me too--- so there must be millions of us

not that i was a Republican, but Independent. My views are both conservative and liberal, I actually am Moderate. Gore is just plain the right man. No more Bush or his kind for me.

Jumping Ship for Gore

Welcome!!!

It should always be about who is best qualified for the position. Al is that individual!

Welcome

El Burro Loco's picture

Glad to have you with us SpiritHorse. I feel sorry for what has become of the republican party. Perhaps some day they will kick all of the extremists out and get back to what used to make the party great. If they ever do, you may catch me jumping ship too!

I think there are a ton of us.

Your message is right on target. Even the most conservative in our party are saying to themselves wait a minute as somthing is very wrong with this administration. Al Gore speaks truth to power with absolutely no spin. I think many are seeing that on a daily basis.

Jumped ship

I've been there too. I used to be a republican. If I ever met Bill Clinton or Al Gore in person, I'd have to apologize, because I listened to the right wing pundits. They convinced me that Clinton was some sort of traitor. The problem is, nothing they said was ever true. I feel duped. After the election was stolen from Al Gore, and Bush proved himself to be a moron, I started looking into their nonsense a lot more. I wonder if there are others like me who used to be republicans and realized that they were duped. Anyway, I want Gore because he's the only one who's true to the democratic party. He's one of those "crazies" like Howard Dean that believes in taking principled stands. As much as I like Bill Clinton, I don't much care for Hilary. I won't forget her decision to appear with the CEO of a company that helps american companies outsource IT to India. That betrays everything the party stands for. I was enthusiastic about Obama, but he has proven to be what he is, inexperienced. I'm from Illinois, and the politics are different. Republicans know their place in Illinois because they are a weak party their. ON the national level... you have to be experienced when running for president or they republican nazis will twist your words out of context and ruin you. I think Obama is too inexperienced. In addition, the environment is something I've always cared about. I respect Mr. Gore for doing all of this volunteer work at his own expense. Please Mr. President, step up and take what's yours.

Please reconsider Bill Clinton

Just finished reading "The Great Turning" by David Korten who makes the case that, in numerous ways, Bill and Hilary are part of the Imperialist monied class. He's one of the most intelligent, charismatic Presidents we've ever had. But I think they're both in bed with Bush's crowd.

Politicians don't GET IT

Being from Iowa, I have been attending each Presidential candidates meeting to hear their views and to judge them. At each of these meetings I always press the candidate to see if he will make Global Warming THE issue of their campain. All I have gotten thus far is the lip service that they spew out. I haven't found any of them (Dem or Rep) who give this major issue anything more than lip service.

We need Al Gore NOW! Global Warming is happening faster than anyone expected. It is no longer just a problem for the next generation, it is now. We can't wait 4 more years to get this thing turned around. We, the people, need to stand up NOW. If we can't get Al Gore to run, I hope he will, at least, evaluate the candidates and endorse the best one of the lot.

Al Gore, WE NEED YOU! YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU! THE WORLD NEEDS YOU!!
