I get by with a little help from my friends.............
This is for EM, Wayne, Mad D, Blue R, Butterfly, GOP, dbc, tenn, yabu, BC, PaPa, and others I am certain I have omitted. I miss that got-a-minute-take-a-glance-at the recent thoughts and opinions of those of you I feel I have come to know. God bless BC who seems to have adapted beautifully. I, meanwhile, can't even find most of you . I have joined the national phone conference twice now. It was both motivating and invigorating but I didn't catch any of you on the line? I also have a meet up that isn't going real well, yet, but I remain hopeful. I do find all the Gore activity most exciting and I realize we cannot stay isolated amongst ourselves so I am trying to make this site work for me and especially Gore. In Gore we are united. I will post the information on the phone conference as I receive it in case any of you are out of the loop. Hope you are all well and let's continue to work for PEACE and GORE in 08--------love gail

Winds of Change
Hello again Gailwinds
Yes, it does feel as if our vessel has been blown to a new and unfamiliar territory. But we are starting to gain some sense of this new world and have some tools at our disposal. For example, if a member is online or is on your buddylist then you can just start by clicking on their name. Then, we have the option of viewing their most recent blog entries. At this time, this feature does not track posts to the forum but blog entries only. Personally, I would like to see either another option to view recent forum entries or to just combine them together and see the most recent entries of a member whether they be entries in a blog or in a forum. Maybe this is coming soon?
My best wishes to all my friends here, both new and old. We are all unique individuals. But we also have a force that brings us together and keeps us united. A desire for a better world and a willingness to do our part to help create it.
Peace and President Gore 2008
Wayne
HI Gailwinds
Hello, Gailwinds... I admit that it takes me a little longer to adapt than most, but I am learning my way around. You'll see I am on-line, but I loved reading these fresh new opinions. So, I guess it's like talking, I have been busily chewing on a tasty new food, and my mouth is too full to talk as much. I have to say that it looks to me like the new forum design has liberated a lot of new members to feel comfortable about posting on-line... Lots of new thoughts, and lots of great opinions that I hadn't heard before.
So, as it takes me a little longer to figure out the place, it is a wonderful opportunity to turn the soil, and expose some faster learners and brighter ideas that have "lurked" just below the surface.
I have always been surprised at the bredth of Gore's appeal, and I have been pleased to see that this site design seems to encurage and protect that diversity.
But I am here, and I am slowly but surely acclimatizing, and occasionally I pop-into the chat to see what's going on. Good ol' Carthage. I am a terrible typist, so chating always seems like a bit of a talk race, but I hope that I can get better. It seems like it could become the "tavern house" of the new site... And I think it'd be good if visitors found lively exchanges of ideas all around Gore.
Us oldsters may have difficulty getting around, but we're still moving the same direction. :)
Smile!
I feel like a small town kid in a big city.

Go for it!
hi gail
i am floundering around here. I've had little time available of late, and feel like I've gone through the looking glass or something in the new site. It is good-looking, but a bit of a maze...
Hi dbc
I read at the old site that you were very busy. Me too. I've got my work and I'm helping my daughter open a retail store--we are the work crew-- from painting to planning to purchasing it will be opening next week, so till then I'm spinning but it's very exciting. I keep telling myself to put in the Gore effort because I will shoot myself later if I don't. Take care--get yourself some talking tapes for the drive--NPR is good too. gail
Yes, less time for 'puter
and what time i have i put into maintaining my "Fallen" website. I started in back in October, just basically providing another "front" to the Washington Post site, but I got frustrated when they'd go weeks without updating and I knew kids were dying daily. So now I get the data from the DoD press releases, surf for photos, links, and try to get it there as quickly as possible.
I have a few regular visitors - not many - mostly I just do it as a personal tribute to these fellow Americans and their families who have given so much, generally having joined in a good-faith effort to protect our country, only to have been misused by the American Insurgents running the country. We marvel at how the Islamists can recruit suicide bombers - and yet look at what bush and cheney are doing!
Fallen
One nice aspect of the new site - it uses straight html, so I can type in links without having to double-check the bastardized syntax other sites use!
Phone conferences why not more Chat's?
I know that being able to put a name to a voice is nice but now that we have this new technology here, I wonder why we don't make more use of it?
Forgive me because I don't know if there are added costs or time or whatever involved in setting up the chatroom but it seems a more efficient and productive way of using our time?
If there are folks who are not internet saavy or connected they could work by phone?
Just some thoughts.
Phone Conferences
Sadly, they are a luxury that I can't afford now. Just put me down as a George Bush Conquest as he helped to Overseas Outsource my job. Let's just say I'm doing a lot of praying right now and thankfully some of them have been heard. My Mom seems to be cancer free after 6 Chemo treatments and is now in the process of growing her hair back and still working.
P.S. When you go to buy something electronic, please don't buy from Panasonic!
Hey, can we get together and agree That Overseas Outsourcing is wrong? That way, I can issue a press release and name names?

I think doing the chat room is a good idea. How about around 7:30-8:00pm some evening--we'll post it and get a few others on board. Glad to hear Mom is on the mend.
