asking Al Gore to run in 2008!
Could Oscar put Gore on the ballot?
Posted February 24th, 2007 by Wayne in WA State
I heard a change was in the offing and here it is! A newly redesigned AlGore.org website!
It will take me awhile to learn the ins and outs of this new format. For now let me thank all the people who did the work to accomplish this change and post a couple links.
My local paper, the Seattle Post Intelligencer had this article today:
http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/national/304964_gore24.html
Also of note today was an story on National Public Radio's "All Things Considered"
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=7590506
I heard the material from would be archived. Where can we find this?
Also what about the "Forum"? Is everything going to be in the form of a blog now?

Thanks for the links
That NPR reporter was intent on a light hearted approach to the issue, but the piece turned out fine all the same.
re: materal from the old Forum-- I'll explain how to find it and what to expect for it's future soon, I'm working out the last details of the plan. There is a forum here at the new site, it's a somewhat cleaner and more straightfoward setup (just click the forum menu link). Everyone can blog now, and comment on blogs, and everyone can join (or even start their own) Gore Groups which will supplant Meetups... this will all come into focus over the next few days as we finish the basic content the site needs. Trust me, it's going to be fantastic for the campaign!
Don't forget about Tipper!
I know this site is still under construction. But I have a question. After my first blog entry I created a second blog entry regarding Tipper. I can't seem to find it anymore. Last night I was able to read it under the category of "recommended blogs" or something like that. The "recommended" category seems to be gone tonight. It was placed under the category of 'Health Care' since I wrote just a bit about Tippers work with mental illness and the homeless. Then I went under 'health care' and I got the message that there were no posts or blogs in that category. Also I got the message that I was not authorized to reply to my own blog about Tipper. Just wanted to let you know about these quirks as you good people refine this site.
My hearty congratulations to Al Gore, Davis Guggenheim, Lawrence Bender and Laurie David!
And Melissa Etheridge too! And kudos to President Carter for his comments on ABC New's "This week with George Stephanopoulis" too.
February 25th 2007 is a very good day. Everything is unfolding according to plan!!
My best to all my friends here, new and old
Wayne
still working on navigation skills
This is a question about navigating in this new website. The "Your recommendations" category is back tonight. And, when I click on it I can see the first short post I wrote titled "Don't forget about Tipper", which is listed under the category of "health care". However, when I try and reply to my post I am asked to create a new group. ?? Is there a way for us to peruse the categories of Health Care, Environment, Civil Rights and so on. I haven't figured this out yet.
thanks in advance
