NY/NJ Draft Gore Live Earth Rally

Dear Draft Gore Supporter,

Al Gore's new book, The Assault on Reason, has been a huge success, with book-signings across the country drawing tens of thousands of people eager to ask Gore to run for president.

The next big events are nationwide Draft Gore Rallies in conjunction with the worldwide Live Earth concerts on July 7, 2007. Inspired by Gore, these concerts are going to be held on seven continents over a 24-hour period, beginning in Sydney, Australia on July 7 (their time) and ending at Giants Stadium in New Jersey on July 7 (our time). Throughout the 24-hour period, the concerts will be telecast by NBC (including CNBC and MSNBC) and affiliated networks worldwide.

The Giants Stadium concert will be an all-day event starting at 1:00 PM and ending about 11:00 PM. The program will include Kelly Clarkson, Alicia Keys, Bon Jovi, Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge, Dave Matthews Band, Smashing Pumpkins, John Mayer, The Police, and many other entertainers. The NY/NJ Draft Gore Rally will be held in the parking lot outside Giants Stadium starting at 11:00 AM and running to midnight. During the rally, we will hand Gore buttons, stickers and t-shirts, gather more signatures on our Draft Gore petition (already including about 150,000 signatures) and collect donations.
