"LIVE EARTH" - Los Angeles: DRAFT AL GORE
This is not the "official name" of this event. The Los Angeles group of Al Gore.Org is trying to show a presence for Drafting Al Gore by being at a sanctioned "Live Earth" event on 7/7/07.
We are in the process of communicating with the official "Live Earth" people to see if there is a sanctioned venue in the Los Angeles area. Please keep 7/7/07 available to show your support at this event!
Those of us who were there really enjoyed all of the enthusiasm from all of the Al Gore supporters who were at The Wilshire Theater on May 22nd when Al Gore spoke to Harry Shearer. That was a "Sold Out" event, and many who wanted tickets could not get any.
We hope that Al Gore will come back to Los Angeles for an event sometime soon that will allow us to show him how much we want him to win the Presidency in 2008!

7/7/07 Live Earth concerts
Is anyone in our LA group planning to host a party? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller???
I'd do it, but my place is too small and I don't have cable! Let us know plans for watching the event together.
Thanks
"LIVE EARTH" - LOS ANGELES EVENT CANCELLED
Our Los Angeles Group met in June and planned to have a booth at a sanctioned "LIVE EARTH" event. We were in contact with the organizer of an event at the Los Angeles Coliseum which was to be a "Friends of Live Earth" event. We had intended to sell GORE 2008 merchandise, and to pass out buttons and stickers as we did at The Wilshire Theater when Al Gore was there in May. Suddenly this week after we had been given permission to have a booth at this event, the "Friends of Live Earth" organzier sent out an email that this was no longer a sanctioned "LIVE EARTH" event. It was taken off of the official "LIVE EARTH" website. Another event in Santa Barbara was also cancelled. Other "LIVE EARTH" events for our area will not accomodate the 500 or more people who had signed up on the "LIVE EARTH" website.
We are hoping that some DRAFT AL GORE supporters will go to New York for the official concert. We hope that everyone will watch this site for future meetings of our group.
