Gore may not even accept the VP position if it were offered to him. We'll just have to wait and see what Dem nominee, Barack Obama, does with his administration.
I agree. Gore would make excellent choice as VP. He's as clean as they get.. he has foreign policy experience.. he has the connections and certainly has the ability to be president in an emergency. More than that he has the credibility to help enact real change in government. We need a solid believer in promoting green technology to rid us of our oil dependance ( cellulosic ethanol and diesel from algae for instance) As president he'd have to worry about media and right wing nuts spinning his every word. As VP he can sort of work behind the scenes and offer advice and still manage to stay largely outside media attention.. as long as he doesn't go shooting friends in the face while on a hunting expedition.. lol
If he really wants to do something about global warming.. helping to enact legislation that will make a real difference, to help make sure the internet remains "neutral" and still stay out of the public eye for the most part.. the VP spot is the best place for him as I see it. He's the only person remotely attached to politics, who has been speaking out.. and has been consistantly right on the issues. I hope Obama taps him for VP.. and more.. I hope Gore accepts.
