Counter to republican claims

I have discussions with a far right "Fox News only" individual at work -- do any of you have a counter to his following claims (please only intelligent responses, no curses or childish arguments):

1. You are correct. I was mistaken about his owing a battery company (at least that we know of right now). What he owns is a large zinc mining company - one with a pretty bad reputation I might add. Among other things, zinc is being used in nickel-zinc batteries - which are hoped to be an efficient battery source for electric cars. LI batteries are also an up-coming source of power for electric cars as well - which I'm sure he will also make millions on. Gore is undeniably involved in the battery business / electric cars. Batteries / electric cars and making millions is fine on its own - it's how he is doing it that is the problem. Living his hypocritical lifestyle of energy hogging luxury while criticizing and preaching to all of us and how we should live and sacrifice - all fueled by his hysterical and inaccurate blame on human mankind for global warming which occurs naturally, and infinitely more from cosmic and earthly reasons than humans could ever cause...is stunning on numerous levels.

4. Well he has certainly come close to it (re: owning oil fields in Iraq) and probably would have if he could have.... how about that little company named Occidental Petroleum Corporation. Petroleum, oil drilling, gasoline, internal combustion engines, gas guzzling cars, carbon pollutants, making millions off of it ...... geeee that doesn't seem to fit very well with his sermon to us. I guess I must have dozed off during it and missed something.

Why didn't you challenge him to show evidence?

1. Gore doesn't own a zinc mining company large or small. He never owned a zinc mining company.

2. He is not involved in the battery business and he certainly doesn't make millions in the battery business. His money comes from Google, Apple, Current and Generations.

3. If he wants to prove that humans have nothing to do with the warming trend over the last 30 years let him do that in a peer-reviewed journal. If he can't put up he should shut up.

4. Gore doesn't have anything to do with Occidental. His father had, the stocks he owned went to his mother after he died and after his mother died they were sold in 2003. He is not making a single cent off it let alone millions.

5. Luxury is in the eye of the beholder, certainly this nutjob didn't have any problem with Bush's millions when he voted for him but luxury and being green are hardly contradictory -- not the least because green energy today is much more expensive than fossil fuel.
Gore's house is one of only 14 in the country with gold LEED certification and the only one in Tennessee. Why doesn't this asshole follow his example?
Because it's much more convenient to attack Gore with bullshit than actually do something about his own lame fossilized lifestyle.
