Republicans/Conservatives/Libertarians for Gore?

I just donated, and forwarded some emails to like minded friends and started thinking... I have some conservative friends/relatives (many socially progressive) who are on the fence, fed up with Bush and his war, dissatisfied withe their choices in 08.

My sister (VERY conservative) told me she likes some of the things Obama says - my jaw just about hit the floor - this is a woman who has loathed anyone left of Attila the Hun all of her adult life...

Anyway, I decided I would send her the link to contribute to the Gore campaign, as a gag, expecting her to return a link to a Draft Newt site. But I thought of her Obama comment and decided to give it a real try... I thought, I'll Google an article or study or poll or something about Republicans who support Gore and send a few links to some positive info... and who knows.

I mean, there are Democrats who support Bush (6% at last count). I scoured the internets looking for evidence of smart Republicans supporting Gore and I can't find anything... nothing. I mean, there were people posting opinions and personal stories on blogs but no real news. I expected there would be some small group (or a few of them) that would have a website with any "Republicans for Gore" related news and talking points all neatly organized for my convenience, but no!

I expected to spend less than a minute finding/copying/pasting some info, and now here I am posting in a forum soliciting assistance.

Who has any news story about any Republican who has supported Al Gore?

Well? Is he or isn't he?

Hey folks, I'm getting nervous. I expect Al to announce on Oct 1, but there's no chatter out there on the national media (not that they could do investigative journalism to save their own lives anymore!) Still, where are you, Mr. Albert Gore? A lonely nation turns its eyes to you!
Let's keep that Republican-in-disguise out of the White House. (You know who I'm talking about.)

Can I start my own thread and live all alone in it please?

Wow.. this isn't going to happen in the next 5 minutes, is it? The post before mine is 5 weeks old and there are two comments. It's seems like this board is divided into way too many categories and subcategories and microcategories. There are 200 blogs with 1 or 2 people on each one. Why not just have one, okay two... but no more than two. Okay, no more than three. Three is good.

Me again. I'm the coolest,

Me again. I'm the coolest, most good looking guy in alol the world, huh?

Yeah. You are.

Yeah. You are.

Anyone remember Cartman's teaparty?

You're so cool Cartman. You're cool too Polly Prissypants.

I remember!

Me too!

By the way... for anyone who

By the way... for anyone who still hasn't figured it out, this is the plan:

Gore/Obama 08
Gore/Obama 12
Obama/Webb 16
Obama/Webb 20
Webb/?

Gore is running. To this very day, 9/22/07, he has not said that he is not running.

He's got a little appointment in Stockholm coming up soon. An Oscar, an Emmy, a Nobel Peace Prize, all within an 8 month span heading into the real beginning of the campaign season? Oh yeah. He's running. And a great many influential people want him to win.

Definitely

This site is comatose.
I agree, though, Gore/Obama '08 would be the winning ticket. What to do about Hillary though? She won't be easy to push out of the way. I was thinking, let her team up with Lieberman for the GOP ticket.
