A simple question

I dont understand the logic here. I am a union card carrying member of the steam fitters local in St. Paul Mn. All of this HYPE is totally emotional and has nothing to do with the real issues at hand. This is all centered around what is "the most popular subject" and not what is right for America as a whole. Its like a team of fans that lost in the super bowl and was quite angry about it. REALITY CHECK The last election went to a Republican for a reason. I fail to see the point of any discussion other than the minority is pissed off at the majority, that they (the minority) did not get elected. I understand that we all get mad when we dont get our way, but lets get real here! The people voted, and they did NOT vote for Al Gore. Their was a reson for this "lack of Al Gore Voting" and it was because the MAJORITY of people living in America know what is best for America. Global warming is a cool and catchy phrase, has some merit, and is an issue, BUT the real issue is economic. I have seen the movie, and I feel its quite compelling, but for any logical thinking person, its all about words that equal money in the pockets of researchers. I am a smart individual that can see things for what they are, and the whole "Global warming" issue seems a bit silly to me AFTER I have read the "facts" that surround the issue.
When did this "global warming debate" loose credibility for me? When Al decided that the facts were a dead issue and no further debate we necessary. If I have an issue to be solved...I invite debate....why? because I know I will find the correct answer in a debate. I wonder then why Al refuses to debate this "global warming issue" with anyone that has a different perspective than his. Is it safe to assume that a certian level of "fear" exists? Is it safe to assume that if their was a debate, Al would look foolish? This is what I wonder. I ask you now, why cant we just have the debate over global warming? what is the problem? If everything is so cut and dry..why wont it take place? I cant just blindly throw my opinion around because I also have a concience. I want facts and reality, period If theirs an issue..fine I am all for that, but lets have a good discusion about it. If the facts show Al is right..Great, and if they dont, lets move on. I think i have the same opinion of "most" americans. This "opinion" is not based on the fear Al is peddling with the whole global warming issue. I think thats why the popular vote went the way it did during the last election. I think the American opinion is "dont scare me, give me facts and debate". I want a real debate that has all of the experts, form both sides, sitting at a table, discussing all of the issues at hand. I dont think I am alone on this thought either. I wonder things, like most Americans, like why is Al flying all over the US in a private jet? promoting his ideas? and consuming vast ammounts of fuel, and emitting large ammounts of carbon? I cant do that can I? If I did, would I be criticised? Why is Als 5k square foot compound using so much energy? Really, if you want to make this arguement valid, you have to provide more facts, and make it believable. To make it believable, you need debate and facts. The simple fact that Al has closed the "debate" issue, tells me that he has something to hide. I am simply looking for a good debate, the real truth, and some concrete answers so I can make sound decisions, like most Americans. I WANT A REAL DEBATE and not just compelling works and movies that are ment to "scare me"..you want Al to get elected? you need to change the opinion of America. America is NOT stupid and needs facts to make decisions. Thats where the problem lies to be perfectly honest.

LOL

"I am a smart individual that can see things for what they are, and the whole "Global warming" issue seems a bit silly to me AFTER I have read the "facts" that surround the issue."

No you are not a smart individual. If you were you would know that the debate about anthropogenic climate change has been going on for decades at least since Revelle's paper in the 1950s. You didn't pay attention, that's your problem. But just how much more debate do you want? 50 more years? 100?

"Why is Als 5k square foot compound using so much energy? "

It's using green energy. So much? Not so much at all. Gore's house is a certified green building, unlike yours. The pot calls the cattle black.

"America is NOT stupid and needs facts to make decisions. "

No America is not stupid. Only about 50% of the population is stupid. That includes you.
