One simple idea can change the course of history.

Hey everyone, why should Al Gore be the Democratic nominee? What is the point in that? Bipartisan tension is so horrible these days, it does not matter what party he runs in does it really? He must realize that America needs him, and that EVERYONE would vote for him! The man won the Nobel Prize for goodness sakes! If he does jump into the running, emerges from laying low in his figurative weeds, why does he have to be of the Democratic party?

I know what you're thinking. I am an idiot, what is he going to do? Run for the Republican nomination!?

No, friends. He is going to make history. By running as an independent.

Just think about that for a second. Our current president came in looking to unite a nation, and instead he has severely divided it. What could more unite a nation than a man who knows what he is doing, is experienced politically as a vice president even! He would break down the tensions between the parties, and essentially do what America ultimately wants: CHANGE. He will change the country, change the environment, change the attitude of the government, and change the course of HISTORY. Going green is the way to go, and our troubled Mr. Bush could not see that. He instead thrusted us into a pointless war with no direction or clear objective.

Imagine Al Gore. Suddenly leaping into the presidential candidacy race as an independent. Of course he would be able to make the ballot. And is there differing limits in funding independent candidacy as far as donations and such are concerned? I do not exactly know, but would be interested if any of you did. Regardless, he would blow away the competition, and make groundbreaking history in doing so. So what do you say people? Why don't we petition for THIS!? I invite you to entertain that idea, and give me a reason why this is not a plausible idea in an absolutely CRUCIAL election.

Do not even tell me you are ENTIRELY impressed with any of the people up for nomination in EITHER major party at the moment. I mean sure, they could do a good job and maybe repair some things in our country. But the creators of this website, and all of you who joined it, know that Al Gore is the right man to be elected in 2008!

Who is with me? Feedback is deeply desired.

'Yes We Can'

Gore is a Democrat

And he will support the Democratic party nominee. He is not about to screw either Obama or Clinton by doing to them what Nader did to him in 2000.

Only an Independant will bring CHANGE

Hear -- Hear -- Barack Obama lost me when he Flip-Flopped on Single Payer Health Insurance. What we have now is a Big Business & Organized Crime run society. It's no big surprise, these are the organizations who invest in Republicans and Democrats alike -- financing their campaigns and offering us Republican and Republican-Lite. No big difference -- just different rhetoric.

Change will only come when we change the system which is absolutely broken. If Al Gore is up to the task of leading US then the only way to bring real change is to start with real change and run as an independent.

The companies that run the country no longer care about US their motives are their own bottom-line and their allegiance is to no country as they are all international in scope. Such as Oil, Defense Contractors, Pharmaceuticals, Insurance and Drugs. Ever wonder why after 9-11 not only was Bin Laden not captured, but Oil executives never missed a beat accept to collect windfall profits, and the drug trade is healthy as ever. When politicians in the know, such as AL Gore, have the guts to tell t like it is and drop their allegiance to the status quo, in action, rather than empty words, change will happen. I can't see any other way.
