As of 12:30 last Saturday morning I watched a typically beautiful but vacuous CNN commentator casually bring up recent Nobel Prize winner Al Gore “inventing the internet” again, to chuckles all around. That ‘the Most Trusted Name in News” CNN is still repeating these well established falsehoods (the latest Vanity Fair covers the whole odious enterprise quite succinctly) even at this late date after all we've seen of the madness of King Dubya (whom they helped elect in no small part) goes a long way towards demonstrating how prepared they are to stick it to him again.
Want Gore to run? Show him that he won't have to worry about bipartisan media hackjobbery because you guys are ON IT. You're posting every instance of media bias and writing letters en masse to the networks that perpetuate it. Let Al know he doesn't even have to dirty is hands with the slime and that he won't have to ever again because your not inconsiderable numbers are going to handle it for him. You need to build the infrastructure for this facet of the campaign right now because the Media, both the far right FoxNews and the supposedly leftist (but actually centrist) CNN are slavering at the chops to belittle and devastate this great man's chances once more.

The Media hacks
The Press are what they are. I have read that all of the print, and television news companies are owned by just 6 conglomerates. They report the news the way that "The Powers that Be", wish it to be reported. It is simply a fact of life.
Yes, they can be cruel, and it is deplorable that someone as altruistic as Our Mr. Gore must be pilloried by them, and thus made a public whipping boy, because he is their "Enemy du Jour" .
But, look at what they do to their friends. Their Mr. Bush is lampooned at every opportunity, as are his minions!
I, personally have a countdown calender which gives examples of his misstatements as it counts down to Glory- Day, 01-20-09. Do they sell calenders of Our Mr. Gore's misstatements? No, will they ever? Who cares?
Is it worth letting this great country destroy itself in ignorance, because of some Schoolyard Bullies? God, I hope not!
