Stand Up For What We Believe In
We have pushed so hard to let Al Gore know that we seriously want him in office. We send him petitions, letters, and even set up websites declaring that we want him as president. But is it enough? This is the new proposition. Instead of just telling him, we show him. We protest about war, animal rights, and other such things, why not this. We have it in us, as US citizens, to rally together and SHOW him we want him as the next President. Nothing speaks stronger than people rallying together for a common cause, and even more so when its a physical showing and not just on paper or a screen.
I for one, as I'm sure with countless others, are not going to sit idly by as we watch people run for office that we, for the most part, do not want in office. We have but one chance to correct the wrong doings of the corrupt Bush administration next year and if we mess up, or give up, I see our country going down a path that we will never escape from. We must rally together, as brothers and sisters of a common cause, and show our government and the world that we will not take this anymore. The government thinks it can push us around, telling us what to do. If it wasn't for the people, our government would not exist. We have the right to say and do as we please and we will not let people who believe themselves to be higher than us tell us what we can and cannot do. We, the people of the United States of America, the greatest nation on earth, must stand against our government and tell them how our country will be run.

Be part of the Draft Gore '08 campaign!

How True
That is a good point wulf. I think the that instead of lying down and saying that we did all that could have been done to get Mr. Gore to run that we should keep pushing. The thought of voting for Hillary among others is simply discouraging at the least. Perhaps organized marches in every state would help convince Mr. Gore to run. A "
Run Al Run" march on every state capital? One march for Al on Washington D.C. would be priceless. The only problem with this is that there are a lot of people that will spend 2 minutes signing a petition on a website but when it comes time for the real work they are nowhere to be found.
You do have a point there

You do have a point. To show Al Gore and the world that we are united in what we face. To throw out an idea as a follow-up to your suggestion, would be that the organizers on here could pick a day to march for what we believe in. Whatever it is, global warming, civil rights, opposition to the war, veterans needing health care, elderly issues, families needing health care, racial discrimination, sexual discrimination, people for a voice. These are just some of the rallying points and others can come up with some more. But the point is the day that is picked could have people marching to the courthouses and city headquarters and do a well organized, non-violent, march for solidarity and unity for all that we believe in and what Al Gore has taught us. Our marches could be done in unison throughout the country and the world, just like they do those concerts on one specific day and each and every one of you could march and unify for that day in your local communities or if they want to at some rallying site for their peaceful demonstration.
The point here is......
That you need to read the Rolling Stone interview.
Gore doesn't think it's the right time.
If your candidate doesn't show you don't have very much of a campaign.
