Where are we headed?

The great democratic experiment is in jeopardy. It would seem that we have begun to take a huge turn away from the values that our forefathers held so dear. The very things we as a nation have held dear are being taken away from us. Freedom is being tread beneath the feet of of the elite under the guise of nationalism. Be not fooled, patriotism is to love your country, not uphold your government. Indeed, according to our great constitution, it is our duty as Americans to throw off an oppressive government that now longer represents the will of the people.
However, it is also our duty as citizens of this great country to make every attempt to fix what is broken before we simply discard it. Democracy, governance by the people, is perhaps one of the greatest political ideals that exists today, however it is fast falling by the wayside. How can we propose to bring 'democracy' to the world, when we no longer have it to give?
Simply electing a great man to lead us is not enough, though I am one who believes that it will help. We as a nation need to rise up and take our democracy back. Get involved! Take to the streets and say NO MORE!
No more corporate interests taking precidence over the interests of the people! No more blood for oil! No more lies! No more trampling of the Constitution! No more fascism in America!
