New Re-elect Al page

in

Just saw this on the ticker at GMail. Apparently a new site, promoting Al Gore w/ Hillary as VP..

People are starting to take notice, and I think that Gore is too. I do not think that he can in good conscience refuse the call.

Open letter to Congressman/Senator

The time has come for us, as Americans, to stand up and demand accountability in our administration before the run-up to the 2008 elections.

Help to prevent the theft of Iraqi oil by the current administration

Here is a petition to sign that is being sent to both the Iraqi parliment and our own government.

Please help stop the war for oil.

Wolf Blitzer doesn't even let Michael Moore say Gore's name.

In his interview with CNN, Michael Moore cuts Wolf Blitzer to pieces over the war and health care. He also tries to get a pitch in for Al Gore, but Blitzer runs right over it.

Watch the video if you haven't seen it. It's great to see Blitzer stammer and dodge.

Article: For Progressives, Gore’s the One in 2008

More talk of Gore and his hopeful run for office. http://www.commondreams.org/archive/2007/06/29/2177/

Above the law?

Yet another example of why we need someone with some accountability(ie. Al Gore) in the White House.
As hard as it is to believe, Darth Cheney has declared that his office is not part of the executive branch of the US goverment and therefore not subject to the same rules, especially those concerning classified data.

Kill your television!

I'm reading The Assault on reason right now, and then saw this article this morning on Common Dreams.

http://www.commondreams.org/archive/2007/06/16/1921/

I am in absolute agreement with both Mr. Gore and the author of the article as to the detrimental effects that today's media has on us, and as the author points out, what a powerful statement of protest.

Fixing the Budget with Oreos

Ben Cohen(from Ben&Jerry's ice cream) using Oreos to explain how we could fix our national budget.

Gaining Momentum

It is wonderful to see the groundswell of support that this movement is acquiring. The average number of guests on this site alone has better than doubled in the last couple months, and now news sites all over the net are picking up the ball, with overwhelmingly positive responses from their respective viewers. The article someone put up yesterday from the Huffington post had 5 pages of comments, almost exclusively positive for Gore. This article from Commondreams.org is very compelling and well worth the read.
