I've decided to run for State Representative!

Many of you know that I've always wanted to run for office and now that my own State Rep, Republican David Steil has decided not to run in 2008 the seat will be wide open.

I've already consulted with the House Democratic Campaign Committee and as of last Friday, no one is officially running. But I know that will soon change.

Why run for any office and why for State Rep?

Good questions and that deserve good answers.

JFK's aide Ted Sorenson told me that I should and then said that if you don't you just leave it for those who want to play rough and dirty

And the late but great Senator Claude Pepper told me too because that's how he
started out:)

I'm running because I firmly believe that the one major issue confronting us all is the Economy because if you can't count on your job being there tommorow, then everything else is just doesn't matter as much.

Of course, I'm talking about the great problem all of us face because of the corrupt business practices of using Offshoring and H 1 B Visas.

And in fact, if you don't work at MacDonalds or behind the counter directly with the public, your job may really be in jeopardy.

And the statistics just get worse and worse...

Because we've lost more than 3 Million manufacturing jobs already and at least 3 Million more from Offshoring with no end in sight.

Just ask anyone from IBM because it's happening right now!

So, having had my job and my entire office ripped right out from under me, I think I might have a rather unique perspective to bring to this race.

Other than running a successful primary race for delegate, this if my very first time
to run for higher office.
