Can You Say Gullible?
It never ceases to amaze me how the masses can be taken in so easily…Gore’s TED presentation was nothing more than a sales pitch for the environmental companies that he has a financial stake in that will profit from the climate hysteria that he pitches. Did you'll miss the financial disclaimer he mentioned during the presentation or simply choose to ignore it?
When will the Gore masses finally realize that this climate change hysteria is nothing more than a fad that will eventually fade to the wayside just as the pet rock did? Come on people, wake up and quit being taken advantage of by Gore and his cronies. He's making a fortune on this politically correct fad and everybody who believes what he preaches are being used as pawns as he builds that fortune.
It seems that everytime somebody displays skeptism over this climate hysteria they are automatically classified as being in the back pocket of big oil. If that is indeed true, then it seems appropriate to say that everybody who believes that global warming is human induced is in the back pocket of all the companies that are profiting from the so called "solutions" to global warming. So tell me, does Gore profit when those useless Carbon Credits are sold?
Al Gore in Europe
Hi, I have never cared much for Al Gore but he has definately lost any points he had with me. He went to my home country Faroe Islands where people had paid a lot of money to come and hear him speak, then my people, who are very friendly took him around and gave him some gifts, our press off course wanted to speak to him and ask him a few questions, he just brushed them off and not in the nicest way, and told them that he had not planned on holding any press conferences, I tell you I am totally insulted. Then he went to Iceland where he stood an chatted away with the press there, off course that was on the news in my homecountry, if he wants to clean up the earth he better clean up his attitude if he wants to get people on board with him he better treat them better than this, Faroe Islands might be a small country but that is no excuse to think little of us, we are kind caring people and deserve better. I love the earth and all that and I do my part, but I will not listen to anything this man has to say about anything again. Thank you for letting me use my freedom of speech!

Climate experts predict temperature drop
By Paul Eccleston
Last Updated: 2:01pm BST 10/04/2008
Climate experts are forecasting a drop in global temperatures this year.
# 'IPCC seriously underplays climate change'
# 'Climate change: adapt to it, don't fight it'
# Climate change 'will spark global conflict'
But the world is also facing more dramatic rain storm events such as the flooding which hit Britain last summer, scientists warn.
The flooding that hit Britain last summer may happen more frequently
The flooding that hit Britain last summer may happen more frequently
Michel Jarraud, secretary-general of the World Meteorological Organisation, said temperatures in 2008 are likely to be cooler because of the effects of the La Nina in the central and eastern Pacific.
He said it was likely that the La Nina phenomenon would continue into the summer. If his forecast is right it would mean temperatures have not risen globally since 1998 when El Nino warmed the world.
La Nina (the little girl) and El Nino (the little boy) are two great natural Pacific currents whose effects can be felt worldwide.
Recently La Nina caused one of the coldest winters in memory in China, Canada and the Arctic and brought torrential rains to Australia.

Mr Jarraud said La Nina was expected to continue into the summer, depressing global temperatures by a fraction of a degree.
But he said temperatures in 2008 would still be well above average for the past 100 years. The Met Office predicts that 2008 will be around 0.4ºC warmer than the average for 1961-1990.
It said temperatures are influenced by a variety of factors including solar changes, pollution and natural weather cycles such as La Nina.
The consensus among scientists is that long-term temperature rises since 1880 can only be explained by greenhouse gases, mainly carbon dioxide, caused by human activity.
Experts say climate change is likely to lead to more flooding in temperate regions and in the tropics while droughts in arid areas will get even worse.
The warning came from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) which said there would be serious environmental consequences because of a shortage of fresh water supplies.
"The frequency of heavy precipitation events (or proportion of total rainfall from heavy falls) will very likely increase over most areas during the 21st century, with consequences to the risk of rain-generated floods," according to a report, released at the IPCC's annual meeting in Budapest.
"At the same time, the proportion of land surface in extreme drought at any one time is projected to increase," it said.
Yvo de Boer, executive secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, said that unless action was taken 250m people in Africa would be short of water for drinking and for crops by 2020.
"The risk is that these people can no longer sustain themselves and they have to find somewhere else to go," he said warning that the problem would create a major challenge for governments around the world.
The report comes at a time when the price of food staples such as rice and wheat are increasing sharply due to rising demand from Asia and poor harvests due to bad weather.
Stupid John.
This year. Right. Thanks to a strong La Nina.
And? What's your point?
Did Gore ever say that we will never have another La Nina?
Or that every single year form now will be warmer than the previous one?
No. Then what's your point?
In fact there was a big drop in global temperatures in 1999 compared to 1998, also due to the
El Nino (1998) -La Nina (1999) effects. Did that mean that the warming trend stopped in 1997?
No. La Nina comes and goes but CO2 stays in the atmosphere for more than 100 years.
"It said temperatures are influenced by a variety of factors including solar changes, pollution and natural weather cycles such as La Nina."
Idiot. Can't you read or what?
What? You are insulted by THIS?
Come on man grow up. You sound like a whiny sissy. If he didn't want to hold a press conference so what? That happens here all the time with public figures. You think the freaking scribes have an inherent right to get answers whenever they want? They don't. If Gore didn't want to talk to them at that point of time more power to him.
I love the Faroe Islands but you are just an oversensitive idiot.
"I have never cared much for Al Gore "
Thank God. This means we didn't lose anything with your "departure".
you deserve better
Godan daginn
Can you tell me more about your native Faroe Islands?
Better than what? And why would this person deserve
anything from Gore? You don't even know who he/she is.
just checking
Pardon me if I suspect Ruthiemom may not really be from the Faroe Islands at all, doesn't speak Faroese, and is really an American Republican trying to make a very clumsy attack on Al Gore.
Pardon Me
Pardon me if I know that everyone that NOW believes in 'Global Warming" is just as big an idiot as Idiot Gore. Latest news says we are going into Global Cooling. BigAl is just a opportunist and deserves no attention. Screw him.
Don't believe me? Just read the news.
no pardon
Thanks JohnTee for coming to this AlGore.org website and insulting Al Gore and his supporters. That's sure the way to make your point effectively. Your first post showed some information from the IPCC and summarized some of the dangers the world is facing from global warming. Your second post stated that people who believe in global warming are idiots and that Gore is an opportunist and we should ignore him. I won't bother asking you which of your posts we should believe.
