The World Needs Al Gore

We are in a serious crisis in the United States economically, politically and environmentally, to name a few facets of our distress.

I am not sure how many people in this country are truly concerned with their environment, in fact, I am not sure how many are even aware of the worldwide threat of global warming to their environment, because the majority of people in the United States have been fortunate enough to remain unscathed by recent natural disasters. While we see evidence in media, those of us who have not been effected may remain a bit more static about what is really happening.

Al Gore's book and movie is a real eye opener. It is filled with facts - not propaganda. Mr. Gore did his homework!

He certainly merited the Nobel Peace Prize- which is sort of an segue for what I wish to express in this 'blog' - The Nobel Peace Prize originates from Scandinavia. I urge people to educate themselves on what is being done in the Scandinavian countries regarding global warming, especially in Sweden.

We in America are not only in an economical, political or environmental crisis, we are also in a spiritual crisis. We seem to lack the spirit or force to seek out real answers, real solutions as Al Gore has done. For those of us who have been fortunate enough to have seen Al Gore's film or read his book, 'An Inconvenient Truth', I am sure you will agree that we can no longer sit back and wait for the next directive. Start by passing your copy of the book or movie onto someone else. Encourage your friends to do the same. Americans need to see the truth and Americans need to do something about what is happening.

Although I was among the many Americans who was very disappointed when Al Gore did not become our President in 2000, perhaps we should not keep dwelling on the negative political connotations of what had transpsired, but look at that 'truth' as an opportunity that has given Al Gore the time that he needed to 'unveil the truth and make it known' as he so brilliantly did.

Mr. Gore has the spirit that needs to fill each and every heart and mind in this country. Without being elected, Mr. Gore has not only become a leader in this country, but is now recognized by the world's best for his great accomplishments.

Would he make the best choice for our next President? Based on the fact that when he ran for President in 2000 he won the popular vote and his present status worldwide - ABSOLUTELY! Not only does America need Al Gore for President - the whole world needs Al Gore for president!
