Our next President

I think Al Gore would be a very exceptional President. He does not want to be President. He has far more freedom of expression doing what he's doing. His family has less pressure, and more freedom. In the role he has chosen, he can influence events no matter who is President. We need a Democrat in office. If all the people supporting Gore, don't vote for a candidate that wants to be President, and has a realistic chance of being elected, we will end up with another Republican administration. We cannot have that.

Letter from Gore Supporter:

This woman came to our registration booth at the Rancho Cordova 4th of July Festival to register to vote. She wanted to know how to contact Al Gore. I told her to go to the website, but she asked me if I would post her letter for her as she was disabled and wouldn't be able to. She was such a nice person, and so excited about Gore , I said I would:

"Dear Al,
We love you If you run I vote for you and volunteer. You're one of my heroes! You are terrific" Leanne Osborn Rancho Cordova

Our straw pole put the numbers at:
CLINTON 49
OBAMA 33

Meeting tomorrow evening -

Tomorrow night, Friday June 29th, is the opening of Michael Moore's movie SICKO at the Tower theater in Sacramento. I have tried to notify the Sacramento members and groups, so we can meet before the movie.
I have found the movie starts at either 7:00 or 8:00, they aren't certain at this writing. It's being sponsord by the Sacramento4Democracy group.
Instead of meeting at 6:00PM, I will be at the Tower Cafe', next to the theater on Broadway in Sacramento at 5:30PM.

Getting together -

Hi-
Time is moving on and we have a few groups in the Sacramento Area. Let's all get together to find out what we can do to get Gore to annuonce, nominated and elected. I believe I know some of you in this group, and I know you can get things done.

One of the biggest issues this election is the lack of Medical Care in the US. Michael Moore's movie is opening on June 29th at the Crest Theater. I highly recommend you seeing it, as the topic is HOT. I have a link for free tickets on opening night, but I'd rather not put it in the blog. Please contact me.

Don't let fear take over

I received a response to my entry about two loving people from "woodsa", the response woodsa had to the same conversation I heard was to leave the Gore Campaign. The response by woodsba is a perfect example of what happens when fear takes over. I will stay and fight that fear. I believe running away from an organization that can get things done won't get things done. I believe the Democratic Party is the best way for us to make some changes. I believe that Al Gore as head of that party will solidify changes we need and open doors for others.

Get Organized -

If the person from L.A. could contact me, or other CA people. We could do use some coordination on this side of the island!

Californian's for Gore

We need some changes and I believe Al Gore can make those changes. During his campaign, I listened to what was said by Bill Bradley, who I began supporting, believing Al Gore was too conservative. In seeing both campaigns, and the way they were run, I found Al Gore chose responsible people, and understood how to get things done. When I found his book on Global Warming, I was sold completely.
