Ballot access in MD

in

In Maryland there are two ways to get on the primary ballot, the first is to be recognized by the Secretary of State as a viable national candidate (usually read to require declaration but it is upto the Secretary) and the other is petition and certification of candidacy signed by the candidate. It is probably too late to get the signatures at this point but if Gore declares before the deadline then he will probably make the ballot on the first criteria.

Gore will need convention delegates

in

I plan to run as an uncommitted delegate to the convention so I can vote for Gore. I also plan to write Maryland's Secretary of State to ask him to certify Gore as a candidate for the primary and if that happens I will commit to Gore. Hopefully others will take this step also (the information you need is on the state Board of Elections website and the MD Secretary of State website).
