Answer The Call, Mr. Vice President
Sign The Pledge: Wow. Live Earth. Wow. But more on that later. First, down to business. Take Al Gore's 7 point Live Earth pledge, printed below.
I PLEDGE:
1.To demand that my country join an international treaty within the next 2 years that cuts global warming pollution by 90% in developed countries and by more than half worldwide in time for the next generation to inherit a healthy earth;
2.To take personal action to help solve the climate crisis by reducing my own CO2 pollution as much as I can and offsetting the rest to become "carbon neutral;"
3.To fight for a moratorium on the construction of any new generating facility that burns coal without the capacity to safely trap and store the CO2;
4.To work for a dramatic increase in the energy efficiency of my home, workplace, school, place of worship, and means of transportation;
5.To fight for laws and policies that expand the use of renewable energy sources and reduce dependence on oil and coal;
6.To plant new trees and to join with others in preserving and protecting forests; and,
7.To buy from businesses and support leaders who share my commitment to solving the climate crisis and building a sustainable, just, and prosperous world for the 21st century.

2008 presidential run
Whlie there are a few democratic candidates presently running for president, who are quite qualified for the office (more so then the present occupant) , I don't know if they can bring the hard-line and focus that Mr, Gore can bring, which is going to be needed to address the current problems this country faces. Mr. Gore, as Vice -President you saw the commitment needed to address some of these issues. It is my hope that you will seek the Presidency again in order to accomplish this goal.
As a child who grew up cherishing te promise of America and what it was suppose to represent, it has been the reality that age and experience bring , which has change this dream from one of pride and boasting to one of shame and silence.
What happened to the promise of the sixties? What happened to the security of the knowledge that once "our" generation came of age, we would use our power and influence to right the wrongs and change things to the way they ought to be? Those spirtitual children of JFK who saw in his words and deeds the hope for a better society, need to remember that he was a proponent of the belief that "evil" and injustice in the world come about when "good people do nothing".
Mr. Gore ,I plead with you to take up this mantle of leadership and pursue the Presidency. You can affect the change that is needed in our culture and the world by occupying the highest office. In the bottom line, does not the problem of global warming stem from our societies neglect to be responsible for our actions? And is not our socities ills a reflction of our leadership? Is it no wonder that when we look back on some of our coutries finest moments, we see the presence of great leadership? Not only great leadership, but inspired ledership?
Our country not only needs good leadership now, it needs great, inspired leadership. 30 years from now do you want to be thinking , " I wish I had tried to be that leader we needed" ?
RUN, AL, RUN!
Amazing
The Kennedy clip is dynamite. Holy God. I am so impressed.
Hooray.
