the end
Posted November 20th, 2007 by gorewon2000Al Gore's office has contacted the staff at AlGore.org and instructed them to cease with petition efforts to get Gore onto the state primary ballots. Attached below is the message that was sent out to organizers in response to this communication.
So where does this leave us?
why not Kucinich
Posted October 31st, 2007 by gorewon2000I'm anxious that Dennis Kucinich is creeping up on Gore in the DFA pulse poll. What had been a decisive lead has dwindled to less than two percentage points, and counting.
I've posted a diary about Kucinich on both DFA and DailyKos, to try to take some of the steam from his engine. Please read and recommend:

write-in a vote for Gore in DFA's online poll
Posted October 20th, 2007 by gorewon2000Please urge your contacts to vote in Democracy For America's online presidential preference poll:
http://democracyforamerica.com/pulsepoll
DFA is a progressive organization of activists working to steer the Democratic Party toward progressive values by supporting candidates in primary and general elections, and they are running a poll of their membership to determine who their people are supporting. They have included a write-in option for Al Gore, and presently with fifty thousand DFAers having voteed he is winning the poll! See results here:

vote for 'The Assault On Reason' for book of the year
Posted September 12th, 2007 by gorewon2000Please vote:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19589213/
This is not just another online poll. Votes are being tallied for the Quill prize for book of the year. Al Gore's book 'The Assault On Reason' is the finalist in the "politics" category. If we can make it win the prize overall, that's another boost for Gore and his message.

Gore visit set
August 30, 2007
BY STELLA FOSTER Sun-Times Columnist

FORMER VICE PRESIDENT and avid environmentalist Al Gore is set to speak Oct. 17 at the Economic Club of Chicago in the Grand Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency.
We should be ready to have a presence to welcome Gore, with signs and banners and petitions for people to sign. The petition to get onto the presidential primary ballot in Illinois for the February 5th election in the state is here:
home address?
Posted August 11th, 2007 by gorewon2000Does anybody have Gore's home address?
I'm ready to start circulating a nominating petition for him here in Illinois. Illinois allows signatures to be gathered before a candidate has declared, they just can't be filed before the candidate declares. With a filing deadline of November 17, there's time for Gore to declare... but there isn't time for us to wait to start circulating.
The form is here:

It's show time
Posted August 9th, 2007 by gorewon2000It's time for Gore to declare.
Here in Chicago we just hosted a union debate at Soldier Field, and during breaks the campaigns had their volunteers collecting signatures for nominating petitions for the primary.
That's right, with Illinois holding its primary on February 5th, as of this week the campaigns can now begin collecting signatures to appear on the ballot.
We really can't wait anymore. The time to collect signatures for a "please run" advisory petition is over; we need signatures on real petitions now.
