Gore gave an awesome speech
Hi GOPstopper.
Gore gave an awesome speech (even cats and dogs know it :) and I am thrilled to see him throwing in with Obama!
I got the message and made my donation!
I hope people doing the numbers see the bounce from the Gore endorsement, so I sent mine right in.
Gore might be glad to be out of politics, but politics is better with him involved. The man rocks.
AlGore endorses obama
We have to congratulate and recognized the great job Mr. Gore ihas and is doing for the global warming, but concerns me the endorsment of Obama from Mr. Gore, I must tell that this person (Obama) does not inspire me trust, in a better words he's a sweet and good speaker and has a great speach but it stay in that.
I would love to see Mr. Gore go back to the race as he won the popular vote before Mr. Bush did all the caos on our nation and so many dead innocent and eople and so much destruction on a country where there bussines is not our bussines!, guess what we have? from 911 till all the attacks and the economy being affected by all these situation.
I believe that Mr. Gore has his head on his place to guide a nation to a better situation and to get the nation off that caos for a better future.
I must said that one more time in the history of the United States of America..the Great Eagle a person won the popular vote and the delegates has to decide for us..are we has the freedom to elect the person we wants to choose for the next president of the United States? or do we have to accept that others elect for us and because we don't have a choice we have to vote for a candidate that has been choose by the delegates and not the peole of the United States of america. For the second time Hillary Clinton won the popular vote of the citizens but the delegates was not won, now I ask myself a question...If the people of the United States dont have a saying or count on who we choose to run for president but the delegates choose for us , in that case why make elections , why tell people go vote, what for? I believe that something needs to be done an ammendment of the contitution or law to change this process, I believe WE HAVE ENOUGH as citizen and American Nation WE the American Citizen we are the pones who should elect who we want to have run for president of the united States if nothing is going to be done the same situationis going to continue with out end and i believe is a big Injustice \, either we vote or only the delegates vote and make this process, but don;t expect that the nation vote for the peole they feel and believe they shold run we look on a person who's shows caracteristics of a great prsidente the delegates process look at differences they have trough the years..MR GORE RUN FOR PRESIDENT AGAIN !! on this elections I'm not planning to vote as my candidate of choice Mrs Hilarry Clinton did not was nominated ..i go for the experience not for the sweet talks..
Attn: mariasteidel
Thank you for your comments. After reading what you had to say about our election process, I agree wholeheartedly with you that you should stay home and not vote in this election. I don't think you are ready to exercise your right to vote as a U.S. citizen. So kick back and relax and let the others show you how it is done, when they elect Barack Obama as President of the United States.
Pleasant dreams. Have a good day.
Where were you, mariasteidel
Where were you when this site had a legitimate chance to succeed in its efforts to draft Al Gore?
It is now too late to beseech Mr. Gore to reconsider. It is also too late to make the case for Hillary Clinton, who, except by the most bizarre math, did NOT win the popular vote.
Now you say Obama hasn't got "experience" and doesn't inspire "trust". If you would seek out any sources besides FOX "news", you would know that you are wrong on both counts. Or perhaps there is some other reason that you don't trust Obama... one that you're not willing to admit? Think about it.
Yes, we are crying, but for the good of the party
Al Gore has spoken and he wants us to support Barack Obama, the Democratic nominee. We've been all along looking to Al Gore for some guidance in the Presidential campaign and Gore has now spoken, so let's all rally up the troops and take back the White House.
It does not make any sense to sit this out and not vote. If you don't vote you allow others to make that Presidential choice for you. Democrats will unite as has Hillary Clinton and her supporters to support Barack Obama for President.
Thank you Al Gore for supporting Barack Obama, the Democratic nominee for President.
obama endorsement
BY ME NOT VOTING I SHOW THAT I HAVE RIGHTS AS AN AMERICAN CITIZEN TO CHOOSE WHO I WANT TO LET THE COUNTRY AND THE NATION AND NOT THE DELEGATES AS IT HAS BEEN TILL NOW...
MR GORE LOST THE WHITE HOUSE AFTER WON THE POPULAR VOTE AND THIS IS WHAT I WANT TO PEOPLE UNDERTAND ..WE, WE, WE, HAVE RIGHTS SUPOSELY BUT I'M NOT LETTING OTHER CHOOSE FOR ME IF I DON'T VOTE , THEY ALL READY CHOOSE FOR US!
UNDERSTAND THAT ..THEY ALL READY CHOOSE FOR US , NOW WHAT THEY WAITING? THAT ON NOVEMEBER WE HEL TO GET ONE OF THE NOMINEE GET INTO THE WHITE HOUSE..THAT OBAMA IS MY CHOICE ..NO WAY! THAT MACAIN IS MY CHOICE , WORSE BECAUSE OF TE REPUBLICANS WE ARE THE WAY WE ARE TODAY, LOOSING JOBS, ECONOMY, OUR HOUSES AND ALL., BUT THE ALL READY DECIDE FOR ME ....
I WISH MR. GORE WOULD RUN AGAIN, AS HE WAS MY CHOICE AND WILL BE IF HE RUN AGAIN!
that's not right
First of all, Hillary Clinton did not win the popular vote overall in the primaries. She claimed to be "winning" the popular vote, but it did not happen in the end. You had to play some games with the numbers (like excluding caucus states, and excluding ALL votes for "uncommitted" in Michigan, where it was clear that some of those were actually votes for Obama) to make it look like Hillary had more popular votes.
The delegates were awarded proportionately in the Democratic primaries -- unlike the GOP primaries which used a "winner take all" system more like the Electoral College that was used to cheat Gore of his win in 2000.
Now, having said all that, I must agree there is SOME manipulation going on among the party leadership (in BOTH parties -- after all, how could McCain really be the choice of the conservative Republican base?) and in the media. But it can be OVERRIDDEN if we stand up to it. And we can only do it by VOTING! By not voting you are saying, yes, it is OK for you to choose for me.
If you were truly a Hillary Clinton supporter and an Al Gore supporter, you would not have to think twice before casting your vote for Barack Obama in November.
You are missing the point
You are missing the point .... delegates all ready choose for us, by them leading us into a candidate that the people did not choose,,,,, you said that obama won te popular vote? that's not what the news and results show.
In the other hand what is going to change if I vote? nothing! as these person did not have my trust. Wants a Muslin? Wait and all you will see, time will give the reason and will tell, in the other hand you know that Al Gore did won the popular vote and the so much crap from delegates and the same crap every time in politics did not allowed Mr. Gore win the white house, I'm pretty sure that if the system change and the way candidates win the nomination and the elections we have a better future and voice on our choices, till now a group of delegates play the game till almost over the time where they have to make theyre choice of who to nominee so that it is a game for our country and our people!
till laws and the way WE the citizens of United States voice our rights and elect compleately who is nominee and how this nominee is elected and how the game of so many caucus and so many votes here and there ... OH!!! an the recounting votes of every time which ends up being a total lie an shame to the people and end up getting to the white house the person te delegates want and not the nation!
Open your eyes people laws needs to be change!~ We have to deal with all the diasaster that many presidents has brought to our nation, the delegates has a good salary seating there and having so many faights between them but not to the good of a nation!
Mr Gore please stand up for the American People and our nation and run for our President of the United States, your job as a global warming is excellent but we want your experience and your knowledge and good sense in te White house !!!!
getting the point
Barack Obama is the winner of the Democratic primary contest. He won the most delegates, he won the most votes, and he won the most states. Senator Clinton has congratulated him on his victory. I would have preferred Al Gore to be our nominee but we must respect his decision not to run.
We have two options on who will be the next President of the United States; either Republican John McCain or Democrat Barack Obama. Please join me, Al Gore, Senator Kennedy, Senator Clinton, Senator Kerry, and millions of other Americans, in uniting to elect our Democratic candidate, Barack Obama President in 2008.
"From now through Election Day, I intend to do whatever I can to make sure he is elected President of the United States."
Al Gore
Ditto what Wayne said
The Democratic system was in place and the winner is Barack Obama, the Democratic nominee. We all knew from the start that there was going to be only one person who would be the Democratic nomination. There's no miracle with that logic. He/She who get the most votes (delegates & superdelegates) for that magic number wins.
Sensible people understand that concept and sensible people would want to vote to have their voice heard in the election. If you choose to sit out and not vote that is your decision, but please understand by not voting, only those that do vote will decide who the next President of the United States is.
Al Gore has now stepped forward and endorsed Barack Obama for President. We should honor Gore's wishes and support Barack Obama.
Yes, that is the point!
Well said, Wayne.
