It's time for Al Gore to enter the race

When you consider the recent dialogue between Hilary Clinton and Barak Obama,
it is a signal that Al Gore needs to step into the race. Due to their relative inexperience in international affairs and the military, they seem to need to show they would be tough and bold leaders as president. This has always been an area of risk for these candidates, and they will probably be bated by the Republicans. The primary process will continue to agitate this problem. I'm not saying that Clinton or Obama would be bad presidents, but the Democratic party and America need the best candidate, one that shows proven vision, a track record with international affairs, and yes empathy with and knowledge of the military. Global warming, as important as it is, is a bellwhether for many issues on the international stage that require: leadership; vision; tactical experience; international diplomacy; tenacity; and wisdom in gaining world cooperation as well as regenerating respect for ideals that used to represent our place in the world. The Bush administration's failue to lead, as part of a world community, is out of step with our shrinking global village. Terrorism, energy, water and sanitation crises, genocide, human trafficking and other human degradation, war, finding common cultural grounds of moral values, world health including drug and medical regulation, the global economy, illegal immigration, and yes the environmental issues need a leader that represents America's positive role on the world stage, but also has the vision and tenacity to shift the status quo to new paradigms. This is another pivitol time in world history that must bring forth a team and a leader that will re-energise domestic and international policy and affairs...one that can stand up to the power brokers and the terrorists. Fill the void! Demonstrate that the Democratic Party is the party of courage and leadership. That's Al Gore! I'm sure that would include a major role for Hilary Clinton and Barak Obama.
They are growing and vital leaders that should part of the Al Gore leadership team.

Al entering the race for the nomination

Charlie, couldn't agree with you more.
Hillary and Obama are showing they're not ready for prime time.
Times have become too dangerous and uncertain for an inexperienced Head of State.
Now is not the time for on-the-job training; the stakes are too high. We need a heavy-duty Statesman.

The many International and Domestic challenges that lay ahead require an experienced hand at the helm; someone who's 'been through the Horn' a few times.
Internationally, we've got the Middle East ready for a major blow-up,Global Warming, Russian Resurgence, Chinese Ascendency, Latin American Restlessness, and general world dislike for our foreign policy.
Domestically, we've got Health Care, Erosion of Civil and Legal Rights, Deficits, an Economy that's failing to expand the middle class, an atmosphere of fear, paranoia, and distrust that's beginning to take its toll, etc., etc.
In my view, there are only two people in the Democratic Party ready to take-on these challenges on minute-one after taking office; Bill Clinton himself (not a surrogate), and Al Gore. Bill can't run again, but Al can.

I look for Al to come out with a definitive Yes or a No between late September and mid October. The fact that he hasn't put the 'Kabash' on efforts to get him to run again (like he did back in'04) can give us a measure of modest comfort.
If he runs, it will energize the Party to a level that none of the ones now running can or will be able to achieve.
It will be a Country correcting a wrong for which it has paid dearly; The Country has unfinished business with Al Gore, and I think he knows that.
Let's stay positive, alert and ready to go into battle for him just as soon as he gives us the 'WORD'.
If he runs, look for an exciting, forward-looking campaign of new ideas and new directions.
If he doesn't, we will continue on a downward spiral of leadership whithout Integrity until something major occurs, and who knows what will happen then.
Let's hope he decides to run, for all of our sakes.

Can you blame Mr. Gore for

Can you blame Mr. Gore for waiting to see what happens? With all the BS that the right wing is circulating. Why would anybody want to be abused and kicked around for trying to do whats right. And make citizens aware of the abuses taking place by the present administration and privilege few. A government by the people and for the people? Pitiful and pathedic. 50% of american's can't even get of their bottom's to vote. They would rather someone else take care of it. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink it. I'm afraid we will have to hit rock bottom before we wake up, by then it will be too late, the water will rise, and wash us all away. Frustrating, you bet. Where have all the leaders gone Al? Al Gore now

Never give up! Never surrender! If Al Gore weren't going to get into it, why write "An Assault on Reason", which is an accross the board attack on the Bush administration. America needs a candidate that represents:
"A Return to Reason"
"A Return to leadership"
"A Return to international cooperation"
"A Return to vision"
" A Return to the shining light"
"A Return to open and honest government"
" A Return to the seperation of powers"
Even if only 40 something percent of the population votes, they are ready for change.
