asking Al Gore to run in 2008!
Is anybody out there?

There are well over 1.2million people in Orlando, yet there's only three on this site. What are the three of us going to do about it? I check this nearly daily, I am very anxious for Gore to enter. Let me know what your thoughts are.

I hear you loud and clear but have you visited with local democratic clubs?
Democratic Clubs
I must admit I have not. I will start to do such things as the primaries draws nearer. For now I am merely making my friends and acquaintances learn about Gore and pass on the word. I know he at least has 10 passionate votes among them, which I am thrilled about because these are 'non-partisan' liberals who think that democracy is dead and that there is no point in voting. What clubs are you involved with?
Gore's new book "The Assault on Reason"
I've just finished reading Al Gore's newest book, "The Assault on Reason." I found it to be a very thoughtful, passionate work that has stirred me to write this, my very first blog. The Bush presidency, and his power grab in the name of national security, seems so transparent, yet not much seems to be done about it. Watching the news each day, hearing about illegal secret wire tapping, holding prisoners for years without charges, authorizing torture, ignoring science, rewarding "loyalty", undermining the Federal judiciary, intimidating Congress, undermining our credibility in the world, weilding power under the banner of Commander in Chief for a "war on terror" that can not possibly end. I felt powerless. Gore's book spelled out what is happening, how important this political moment is, and has given us all a voice. I intend to start using mine. How can he possibly write this book and NOT want to run for President.

Apparently I am the only one from Lakeland, FL and I have tried a ton of stuff to get people here involved.
I can hardly wait to move out of Florida .... again. This time for good.

Don't Move Yet !!
Hey -- we need you to stay in Florida and vote for Gore in November 2008, so you can't move yet. It's imperitive that those of you in Florida who voted for Gore last time and didn't have your vote fairly counted demand a fair election this time. There were a lot of Floridians who voted for Gore before --- so there must be some good people down there! Please use your energy to reenergize your friends and neighbors so the citizens of Florida come out to vote in unprecedented numbers and all vote for Al.
Floridians have a big stake in how this country deals with global warming. Write letters to the editor. Get out there with petition in hand and get signatures. Don't give up the fight.
