If we start to project the line in mankind where the intelect of man was shattered by the church and let it flow for 1500 years, the result is like a bacteria culture, man kind reproduces without even knowing how reproduction works but for some magical fact. Then the human race would see itself flooded with ignorant bible followers with no intellectual development who by not understanding how the universe or the planet works the pollution being created is done almost innocently.
