We need a mailing to all convention delegates promoting the idea of drafting Al Gore
I have been advocating the draft of Al Gore all along, but the healing potential of Barack Obama as president led me to embrace his cause. But what if this gaffe on guns and churches becomes the beginning of a reversal? It might soon be our job to rally disillusioned delegates to Al Gore as a unity candidate in the wake of this fight to the death between Barack and Hillary. All this is leaving both of them vulnerable to Republican villification, which could result in the Democrats "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory" once again ala 1968. This year, in the wake of the worst presidency in the history of the US, the Democrats should gain several Senate seats, increase their majority in the House, AND win the presidency by a wide margin - but only with Al Gore, it seems, will we be able to prevail.
In my opinion Obama should be the VP candidate, and Hillary named Secretary of State in waiting. This may be the only way to bring the Party together after this lucha libre!

Be part of the Draft Gore '08 campaign!

Gore+Obama= landslide
Obama and Hillary have canceled each other out. We need to draft Gore at the convention with Obama as his VP. It will be a landslide victory. Like a John Adams -Thomas Jefferson team, just what this country needs.
We are doing something

There is a Gore group working on just such a strategy over on Yahoo: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DraftGore08/. We are putting together lists of all the super delegates, by state, with addresses and other pertinent information. If, as appears likely, we are headed for a deadlocked convention, then we will try to spread the word far and wide that the information is available and we will be urging folks to contact their super delegates. Once we have made the decision to go forward (again, probably after the results from PA indicate what the future holds) we are going to put up a web site with all the critical information.
Stop by the Yahoo site and sign up if you really want to make a difference.
